Submission Guidelines for Fantasy

In addition to the general submission policy, fantasy manuscripts submitted to Cordelia Press must follow the guidelines listed below:

✓Cordelia Press does not accept erotic Fantasy, keep things R level or lower. We’re not prudes; we’re just not smut peddlers.
✓Fantasy manuscripts will have a high likelihood of multi-genre influences (sci-fi, romance, etc). Please only submit to one line. Please do not submit to multiple lines—if the Senior Editor feels it requires the attention of another editor, the editor will pass the manuscript along.
✓One of the key elements of a Fantasy manuscript is the ability to provide an “escape” for the reader.
✓Exotic locations (medieval, other worlds, etc) are the primary setting
✓Exotic races (fae, elves, sprites, etc) or animals (dragons, dinosaurs, etc) are common, though not necessary elements.
