Brave, honest fiction

In addition to the general submission policy, horror manuscripts submitted to Cordelia Press must follow the guidelines listed below:

1. ✓The key elements of a Horror manuscript are the buildup of suspense and a thrilling climax.  Compare it to a roller coaster: the suspense is like riding up that first hill and you have the anticipation of what’s to come.  When you go over the crest of the hill and come flying down the other side, that’s the adrenaline rush and thrill of the climax.
   

2. ✓Horror can lend itself to violent storylines and elements, please note that the editor(s) may make suggestions to tone down extremely violent elements if they feel it is necessary
   

3. ✓There are times that the manuscript may span multiple genres.  Please only submit to one line.  Please do not submit to multiple lines—if the Senior Editor feels it requires the attention of another editor, the editor will pass the manuscript along.
