Submission Guidelines for Literary Fiction

In addition to the general submission policy, literary fiction submitted to Cordelia Press must follow the guidelines listed below:

✓Literary fiction is writing that is character-centered, rather than plot-centered, and that achieves a heightened sense of language, with vivid detail.
✓In general, literary fiction is quality writing that does not fit into a specific genre (romance, fantasy, science fiction, etc).
✓Examples of writers of literary fiction include John Updike, Margaret Atwood, and Barbara Kingsolver.
